To celebrate their 20th anniversary, Canon UK are offering substantial cashback rewards on their consumer DSLR camera bodys as well as lens kits, lenses and other accessories. I'm guessing Canon will be/are running similar promotions in their other markets but for the UK, these are available now from many online retailers such as Warehouse Express.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

too bad it isn't working out in the U.S., I would consider grabbing a canon, they could've just sold another camera! (not like they need it when they are gyping people out of a few hundred bucks, haha)
Nikon are now also offering cash backs and - in a typically cynical spin of their PR machine - are calling it the 90th anniversary promotion. Yes – they have existed as a company that long but no, they haven’t been in the camera business for that long either – try half of that. The recent Canon promotion was to celebrate the birthday of the EOS system not the company itself which was banging out cameras for more than two decades before the dreaded Nikon enemy joined the competition.
