There's some problem with the site right now that is preventing me from seeing any images or previews - it appears everyone else is experiencing the same thing. Anyway I just wanted to note that anyone who uploads should not expect their image to be apprived any time soon as without being able to view the image we obviously can't approve it. If you were thinkinh about uploading you should probably wait until the issue is resolved, which I imagine it will be as soon as caedes (the man, not the site) is online.

Whew! Same problem here! I checked out another site (gasp!) out of curiousity and I had no problems, so I suspected it must be exclusive to here.

But, yeah, I did upload one earlier, and have yet to see it appear.

Then I was like, k, I'll look at some of the new images and comment, heh, nothing doing, cannot see them full.

I'm just on again after hours and hours of not even being able to log in, but I think my server was down for a while too, which obviously didn't help, but it's taking forever to do anything but upload avies :(PJ

I couldnt get the site to do anything for me several hours ago but seems somewhat better now..still a little slow. I have not tried to download anything however.

i'm at the dev.caedes.net site! The only member active all of today!! I would think ceadesians would be smarter than this...

Anywyas, yeah, it was slow all today, and about 15 seconds ago *POW!* super speed...relative of course.

I've tried more than once to get into that dev.caedes.net site and never could..didn't seem important until recently. But things seem to be popping along for the moment, anyway. :)PJ

the dev site worked fine for me...i tried uploading an image but it was 535-800.

Took forever to get on the site again..Google wouldnt even take me here..I had to use the MSN search engine. Still very sloooowww navigating at times.

have any of you seen the devart site anywyas? pretty nifty things there (not sure if they are past, or soon to be future updates) - i love the world map idea. Then the members list - that's a catcher (i think it needs to have more info though). There was something else that i liked...

...i like the gallery organization too (the photography perms) - short and simple...too bad that can't happen now: the site has a gazillion photos.

yeah, I had a few problems...managed to get a couple uploaded, but took nearly 40 minutes!...I don't need problems like this...means I have to 'log-off' and go shoppin with Wor-Lass?...."Not a happy time, I tell ya"?...

The .dev site was the development site prior to Caedes.net and it’s my understanding it’s not used anymore. I don’t think it has been for some time, not by regular members. It was used for a while to bring about suggestions for changes / improvements to the site, but, now on Caedes.net we have the Feature Bloat / Bug Squash forum on the discussion boards where to post site problems, bugs and potential new development ideas.

It's a LOT better this morning - but what's all this about that the image sizes can't be small now? My fairy one only has 1024x768... which is what I use, but still...

Smaller sizes are temporarily disabled. I personally haven't even attempted to upload an image for a couple days and won't till the site is back to full speed.

Master Caedes must be tweakin' around with settings or servers, who knows. Maybe he finally got that bootleg German DVD he'd been waiting for and it's causing problems...NASTY dude!! 8~O

Eh, probably best that we don't upload for a while... just in case something goes wrong and the voting system goes down...

I still had problems even getting the site to come up this morning. Google still wouldnt bring it up and it's taking 5 minutes just to see posts from my friends list. :(

5 or ten mins is what it is taking me to view pictures on friends list also. Full size takes even longer. I am not very good at maths but have tried to calculate how long it may take me to catch up with the backlog and I may not live that long lol

After that lovely logo earlier that told us that the site was down temporarily, and I thank whoever did that, we seem to be running on all four cylinders again. And I agree with Eve, with my backlog, it may be until I am tottering on the brink of the 6-foot hole before I ever get caught up, but determined? I am. :)PJ

Yea, I noticed that... luckily, I have nothing worthy of uploading right now, I'm working on school stuff.

I very sorry for the recent problems. There are apparently still some bugs to work out with the image server. I think I have fixed the most recent problem and I'll continue to monitor the server if/when it decides to die again.

I was just wondering..just as we have the bug/feature forum to offer suggestions, or register complaints, would it be a good idea to have one place to look for updates, trouble reports, etc.?
It would cut down on the "what's wrong?" threads (hopefully) and save you and the mods time spent looking for them and answering them. Just a thought.

That's certainly something I'll consider. There are many discussion boards that have a forum at the top for announcements.

Is it just me, or is the site running slow again!...loading pictures are taking an awful long time to view, especially in the Voting Booth!....time of this was between 1.00pm/2.00pm UK time--(7.00am/8.00am USA time)......

I think the site does maintenance in the wee hours of the morning .. so .. if the site is "backing up" data for security reasons .. you have to wait for a spare CPU cycle

and that CPU cycle might be worn and haggard when it gets to you
