I have what I presume is a dead pixel problem on my camera - Panasonic Lumix DMC-F27. It has always been there since I bought the camera late last year. It is not always visible, depending on colours etc but is always there in the same place on my photos and is just a case of fixing it in PSP (when I remember). It is just one tiny red dot. I have found a free program to downloadHERE (cam2pc) and am wondering if anyone has used this, and if so any opinions?
It all looks a bit complicated to configure.
Poor pixel it lay red and dead
Another one hit it on the head
It fell down screaming
I'm done for, Please help !
Don't leave me here
To die on the shelf
I tried to revive it
With proggies galore
But still it lay bleeding
I call it 'NoMore"
I remember it fondly
When it was alive
With all my best efforts
It did not survive :(
My pixel is dead !
Oh call for the hearse
Dont try to tell me
it could have been worse
With tears sadly falling
I lay it to rest
Goodbye dear Pixel
You were one of the best

Rob - Night? lol its 2.30 in the afternoon!! I dread the night without my Pixel.
Sam -NoMore left eveything to me, in recognition of my care and attention. He didnt have much to leave, being so small and having such a short and useless life, but its the thought that counts. I work in a law office so just managed to get the will signed and witnessed before he succumbed. I am considering doing a "Flower for a Dead Pixel" for my next upload.
Pierre, I bought it in Hong Kong (not duty free)
I was pursuaded by 3 people 'helping me choose' in the shop, a chair to sit on (like royalty), and a cup of tea as well. When I returned to NZ I discovered that I could have bought the same thing here for NZ$300 less! Was so incensed I wrote them a letter and as recompense I recived an extra battery and a memory card.
I no longer have the documentation, and there was no actual guarantee form, just the instruction manual.
Foolish old woman, I know, but I do love the camera.
Thats the bad news. . . . .
The good news is . . . .
my Pixel lives on !!- it just ran away looking for a better photographer, and found one CLICK HERE LOL

Hm... was wondering, is the missing pixel by any chance is a pplace, say in the corner, where you could perhaps put a logo or something? Another advantage of this being nobody else will be able to claim your work as their own unless they are extremely skilled in photoshop.
And if they are extremely skilled in photoshop, I doubt they'd wanna steal anyone else's work anyways, so you're pretty much safe.
But if it isn't, just ignore me and continue with your daily lives. Or nightly lives. Depends if you're nocturnal like me. Hm. Need to rethink nothing in particular. I'll get right on that.
