If you need more than a watermark, then DocProtect may be worth a look. It allows you to protect Mac or Windows image collections so anyone can view, but only paid users can use them. See www.excelsoftware.com/imageprotection.html
I tried the DigiMarc plug-in for Photoshop for awhile, but it's not free and I'm pretty much convinced that watermarking is worthless anyway. Sure, it'll make your picture not worth stealing, but it also makes it not worth looking at either. Anything released onto the web is out of your control and that can be a difficult pill to swallow. I fought the idea for quite some time, but in the end it's just freeware for anybody that wants it. Just make it so good that nobody will want to mess with your sig - it'll be like defacing a Picasso.
