Has anybody used this gear yet for protecting your Canons or Nikons? It's not very expensive and looks pretty good but I'd rather find out if anyone has any good/bad feedback on them before investing :-)
I've also looked at this armour but the more I read the more I know I'd need to see it in the flesh before commiting to it. My local shops don't sell it so I'd need to order without trying which is something I really try to avoid doing.
I considered it briefly. Then decided that it would protect against scratches and minor knocks, but what I really needed was protection from rain, dust and mud. A pair of old ripstop nylon rain trousers provides two such covers and cost nothing if you look in the right place.
ok - just checked out the dpreview forums and there is quite an informative thread there including input from the company developing the armor. currently it isnt weather sealed - only meant to improve shock resistance but they are apparently working on an improved weather sealed armor option too.
Gimmick. Scratches don't ruin image unless your lens is damaged. Anything for lenses? I usually have that strap around my neck and lens hood. My camera has fallen more from the dash of my car lately:-)
yes I think they do lens armor too up to a certain size. to be fair to them - according to the feedback they have been giving at dp review - they are a new company who are also actively seeking input from users and potential customers on how the products could be developed and improved.
