My business partner has just bought a new Fuji S7000 zoom without consulting me - should I be:

whilst it's true we needed a new camera I would have rather waited and got a rebel or pushed the boat out on a new Fuji S3 Pro. Has anyone got an S7000 and if so, are they any good?
First did your company need the camera, and what is it for?
2. What % of the company does he own?
3. What is position in the company?
4. Has he done this before with other things? Can it be written off.
I had this happen to me before in a company. It also happened to a friend of mine where there were to many partners who used all of the company profits to enrich there life’s and the company collapsed.
I'd be pissed. It’s no
Phil: for me it is a good choice for someone who wants a good camera, light, with a good optic. Personally, I chose the Minolta Dimage A1, because its zoom is a 28/200 mm, whereas the one of the Fuji S7000 is a 35/210 mm. Often, a 28 mm focal is necessary.
Clayton - we did need a camera but i would have preferred to be included in the purchase process. We run a graphic design and supplies business of which we are equal partners. purchases like that can be written off but its not exactly the first time this has had happened. Purchases at this level will not drag the company down - they are just plain old annoying.
Pierre - thanks for the camera advice - i tried it in RAW mode last night using Adobe's latest RAW import plug for photoshop CS and initial results look very good.....
My suggestion would be to go out and buy something that -you- want, for about the same price or a bit more, that can also be claimed as a business expense....
