Ok, so Paris got 45 days in jail for being a bonehead. I say YAY. Now she is petitioning the Governator to set her free. WTF??? She broke the law, she went to court, she was held accountable...she should do her time!!! Please add your name to my petition, asking the powers that be to hold celebs accountable for their actions, rather than using the current double standard that allows their wealth and status to get them off scott free, for what we average folks would quickly be penalized for. This is not specifically about Paris, it is about the double standards which allow celebrities to use and abuse the law...be it Paris, Mel Gibson, Snoop Dogg, whomever.
"Paris should have been sober. But she shouldn't go to jail, either.".........*gag*...so what should she have been?
How many offences has this been? Not the first if I recall.
Do the crime, do the time. That is my motto.
I signed Jenn. Thanks for the link ;=)
And since I checked this morning, another three thousand have signed Paris' petition. Oh dearie me. And seeing as how barely any have signed their name, some must be people signing over and over again.
if she is not going to jail atleast don't give back her driver's license because she is not worth her driving's license, this time there where no people hurt, she is just a completely spoilt child with no brains otherwise you would not go behind the wheel if you have bin drinking (but call a TAXI)!!!!!!!!!!!! so I signed to Jenn
but I hope that she must sit out her time in jail!!
Well I have a dozen or so signatures, let's keep this going. I fully plan on forwarding this to Arnold, maybe even Dubya (of course Dubya likes to pardon the wealthy, look the other way, or put them into positions of power).
a new website has popped up with it's own petition...
freeparis.org
c'mon guys, lets get my petition signed and passed on to your friends...why should paris get special treatment just because she was lucky enough to be born wealthy. there shouldn't be judicial double standards, and she has had far too many errors in her judgment...if you or i were driving drunk, we'd have fines and license restrictions, and possibly jail time in the county jail...so why shouldn't paris be treated the same way

if you sign and get a donation page...YOUR SIGGY HAS ALREADY BEEN RECORDED AND YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DONATE. i noticed this today, and also think it may be the reason for the double signature recordings. so i just wanted to give you a heads up. the donations page is by iPetitions to fund their website, you do not have to donate to be able to sign...so please keep those signatures coming.
Thank You.
PS- i have enabled the passcode option to help cut down on the accidental double signatures i was getting due to the darned donations page i just mentioned. i listed the passcode at the top of the page here, in my initial thread entry.

Liberty and justice for all. It did not say unless you are welathy or a celebrity. She should stay there and know by the time she gets out that jail is jail and not the Hilton.
Keep the sig's coming, and remember the code is 5150
So I wrote an email to the Governator's office expressing my dismay at the remote possibility of him granting a pardon based on her petitions, as she seems to be pretty desperate...here is the response::
Thank you for contacting Governor Schwarzenegger regarding Paris
Hilton. The Governor always appreciates hearing from constituents on issues
important to them.
Although the Governor's office has not received a formal request for
assistance from Ms. Hilton, the Governor generally will not consider
intervening in private legal matters. While the Governor does have
executive clemency power, Governor Schwarzenegger will exercise his clemency
power only in unusual or extraordinary cases and generally after all
judicial remedies have been exhausted.
On behalf of the Governor, thank you again for writing. An informed
and engaged citizenry is essential to a successful and responsive
government.
Anyone wanna come do a sit in in Topshop with me and my friend Jade? We're going to sit in the shop naked until they stop ripping the gremo look and take the Kate Moss line off the shelves.
Current count:
Put Paris behind bars - 67,667
Let her go - 8,686
We almost have 8 times the amount of signatures. Hm... I wonder who shall win?
I'd like to serve an at-home arrest in her pad...4 bedrooms, 2700 sq feet, pool...AND...she can't go OUT to party, but nobody has said the party cannot come to her!!!
I hope to hell the judge throws her pampered butt back into Lynwood!!!
And her group is saying that she is being treated unfairly because she is a celebutante...well if being treated unfairly means doing your time as any of us non-famous slobs would have to do...
OMG I was just saying the exact same thing to Cat .... about having nightly parties at her joint. 2700 square feet ? That's it ? She must feel so cramped poor baby.
I am a BIG purchaser of hotel services .. why, back when I was ten, we went down to Disneyland .. and stayed in a motel that was probably purchased by Hilton by now
See? ... if everybody regrets helping them when they were 10, they'll feel the pinch
45 days ---> 23 days --->45 days
let's see now...she was sentenced, got a reduced time, thought she'd play the system and worked it in her favor to do house arrest, pissed off the judge...can I just go on record as saying...I LOVE Judge Sauer...w00tness to the extreme!!!
I might have to watch the news just to see her disheveled & without makeup in a fuzzy sweatshirt.
Even money sez when the police came she ran into her room, dug thru her closet til she found the scruffiest clothes she had & pinched herself so she'd be crying for the cameras.
You wont believe what I saw being sold in a girls clothing store.. a "free paris" tshirt... and they were selling them for $20.. stupid girls were buying them too.. almost bought one for you Jenn... lmao
Get me one too.....I haven't burnt a good shirt in a while...wait...don't. I would rather burn the twenty than touch anything with that b***h's name on it...
A-F**king-men Ruby!!!
Although Jacq...we could put the shirt on a dummy/mannequin (both resemble Paris)then burn it in effigy...or better yet hang it just outside her jail window for her to look at and pine for for 45 days...
while she rocks herself chanting...it's not fair, free Paris, mommy it's not fair...free Paris
Damn I hope she is a complete wreck when she gets released...and with any luck, she'll find a nice girlfriend while inside.
Never liked her before, especially don't like her now.
Or she have a biography written..."How I Survived Hell Without My Daddy's Help" and sell forty million copies to said girls who bought the shirts...Maybe she'll get some pointers in jail to help her Daddy's hotels."I think the toilet should be in the middle of the room, Daddy. Makes it so convienent."
wow for once...her name, her money (well her daddy's money), her so-called fame...none of it helped her here...now she may learn what all of us poor slobs with meaningless lives have always known...abide by the laws or face the penalties.
Add this to celebs who need to have their @sses kicked...
Michael Vick of the Atlanta Falcons is being investigated for dog-fighting. Now, I am a gung-ho NFL fan...and I am also an animal lover...to me, if he is found guilty, I am all for sacrificing a good player for the sake of the animals. Part of the current investigation findings show that the losing dogs are killed in horrific ways, including electrocution and hanging. The so-called "sport" in my view is about as inhumane as it gets, and a clear reason why people are so afraid of pitbulls. Here in Fresno there has been talk of a law in which owners would have to surrender so-called vicious breeds for euthanasia. I have a pitbull. She is FAR from being vicious. She is a wonderful and loving girl, and a great babysitter when the kids are in the yard playing...but then she was raised with love and respect. These dogs used in fights are raised from birth to be mean and to attack just about everything. It is a shame that they are treated this way, and disgusting that they are made to fight (often to the death)...and it sickens me that because of people who do these dog fights, as Michael Vick is accused of, good animals may be put to death simply because of their breed--good dog or not...including my sweet Mo.
So I am asking you, to please be vocal if legislation comes up in your area (as is being considered in Fresno)...don't allow these animals to be taken and killed simply because of their breed. Instead, force your local law to crack down on the people who are ruthlessly raising and using these certain breeds for no good.
If Michael Vick is found guilty, I really HOPE that the NFL does the right thing and terminates his gazillion dollar contract and makes him an example to others!!!
