Hey guys! I shot a few of my girlfriend today and was mostly pleased with the results. I still feel like I may be missing something (of course I could be fine and just paranoid with my own work :) ).

Could you please be as honest as possible and give me your opinions about the photo? Thanks!

Tiffany

love the eyes .. such unashamed honesty, pierces right through you

focus and exposure are top-notch .. I don't know how to advise you further, part of me wants to say "choose another location", I think, maybe, I'd like to see an out of focus background, like a creamy wash of greenery and your current f-stop would have given that to you

portraits require a brave, confident model .. you've got that covered .. congratz on the image

beautiful girl, great eyes, good confident stance for the shot. Must agree with Keith though that the background could definitely be a bit different. An outdoor capture or a solid backdrop would, in my humble opinion, turn this beautiful creature into a gorgeous photograph!
Good job on what you have :)

Hey Jason, the quality of the eyes in this photo is amazing, which is key for a great portrait-shot. I don't see anything wrong with this photo!

At first (when it had only partly downloaded) I thought the red wall would be way too much but it works well with her skin tone. If I could offer one criticism I would say the the pose is a bit standard and unimaginitive, if you wanted it to stand out you would need to make it more interesting, but I know nothing about portraits I am just calling it as I see it.
