I have been able to put a link to my gallery in my signature, but I cannot figure out the HTML code to attach a link to an individual image of mine, such as when leaving a comment or linking one image posted to another image being posted. I see other peoples descriptions of postings that includes links to other photos. I have read the discussion boards. Thank you for your help. Terry

KEIFER, Thank you again very much. That is cool and even I can remember that in an emergency. I've seen the sky fall a couple of times too. Now I will be ready for the next time, providing I have a friend around. lol. That really works great. Thank you!!! Terry

Ok, so let me just be not shy with my link challenged self. I've got the text built, it looks, well it looks like it should per your very well conveyed instruction: althought I'm not getting the "now change the @ to a lower case 'a'" I guess I need to know when to do this? After I build the whole instruction? So I have this (without changing the @'s to lower case a's..)
<@ href=http://m0rnstar.caedes.net>Please visit my Image Gallery</@<
Is this correct? NOW what do I do with it? I cut and paste it to where I want it to be, but it shows the whole thing, not just the label (Please visit my Image Gallery) What am I doing wrong?
I have to admit this is making me feel rather like a 6 year old!
the instructions above NEED to be written wrong in order to fool the site into allowing them to be seen .. otherwise the site would hide them from you .. this "code" is not intended for display on the page
so .. let's assume you are going to create a cheat sheet (as I do) .. copy the above to your text file and change the @ = a right away
<A href="http://www.caedes.net">HERE</A>
here, I have used UPPERcase "a" to accomplish the same thing
and .. in your example:
<@ href=http://m0rnstar.caedes.net>Please visit my Image Gallery</@<
the last little < should be > ....
when you fix that AND change the @ to a .. it will disappear from view
links work in PMs, but the italic, bold, underline does not (at this time)
think of everything as requiring a 'switch' turned on .. *caedes has not whispered "i love you" in the ear of those switches .. and, thus, they are not turned on
for gallery links .. if you get in the habit of thinking in terms of .. http://JQ.caedes.net .. you will be better prepared to give the boy loading the groceries into your car a ticket to colorful bliss
My guess would be that you didn't close the html for the bold properly so it effected the rest of the post. You could easily test that theory by typing some more random words on the bottom of your last post and seeing if they are also in bold.
It appears to me that they all worked. The 1st Jedmc91 is in bold. The 2nd Jedmc91 is in bold and italicized and the 3rd Jedmc91 is in bold, italicized and underlined.
