I'm just getting into photography and i was just wondering what you need to get those really amazing zoomed in shots, for example, the water droplets on flower petals and close ups of bugs?

I use a Macro lens. It allows me to focus in on my subject at a very short distance. My lens is a Sigma 105mm f2.8 Macro.

Firstly I'd suggest reading your digital camera's manual. Most digital cams nowadays have very decent Macro capability. Normally they can focus to around 1 inch from the object. You'll have to find out how to set your camera to use it in macro mode.

After that, experiment, experiment and experiment some more!

A very expensive super zoom lens that is very fast works well.
