Hi All, I was wondering if you would mind taking a look at forlorn and sharing any thoughts, ideas, &/or critiques? Reason I ask is due to the low-ish c-index. I know high 50's isn't too bad and that the c-index has it's issues *discussed adnosium elsewhere*, but I expected it to be higher on this image to be honest.
So, any comments and critiques would be greatly appreciated!

The B&W is perfect for this image.. it gives it the old feel which I assume you were aiming for.. the composition (as baby big ears has already said) is good.. its a great shot.. it should have a higher index than what it has..
I like it as well, but the B/W here seems a bit harsh for the subject. try softening it a bit with a little less contrast, and a (slightly) softer focus.
I really like this shot...I stand by what I said when I commented on it before. I think you've done everything right here and I too believe that it should have a higher c-index. It seems to me that a majority of people on here do not like B&W, and if they don't, they will only vote towards their dislikes rather than image quality. I wonder what kinds on scores Ansel Adams would get on this site...hmmm. Anyway..I don't think you have anything to worry about. Beside, you are getting views and downloads, which I think is a great representation of the quality of the shot.
Thanks all for the comments :) It truly is appreciated!
I realized when I printed this picture that my screen is set really bright (even though it's calibrated with my Spyder2) as the print was really really dark. Perhaps this is what is causing some of the harshness?
True enough regarding the views/downloads. The way I usually rank an image is based on it's comments combined with views/downloads and most often just toss the c-index.
I do indeed have photoshop, I'll give that program a try Keifer! Thanks for the new toy!

hmm...I don't think the composition is really the problem here (center of the truck is on the thirds). If it was more to the left I think there would be too much empty space to the right.
