I realise that it is not that difficult to get around the upload limits anyway if one is determined, but should it be possible to have two Caedes accounts linked to the same email address? This strikes me as making it unnecessarily easy to get around the limit.
I realise people sometimes want to set up a new account to change user name, say, so maybe this is a feature rather than a bug. If so, is there some way of allowing this without providing such a straightforward loophole?
I've no idea how common it is to sign up with multiple addresses, of course, so this might be a drop in the ocean. But people using the current loophole are very obviously doing so and I think there should be some sort of attempt at enforcement if the upload limits are intended at all seriously.
Just a thought, though. Maybe it is more complicated than it is worth.
without naming names, I noticed at least one member doing exactly that. I seem to remember them not being a Cadre member, so is that just a cheesy avoidance of paying nine bucks?
Maybe the same person that prompted my post. Though I wondered about ignorance of the rules, too, as the member I'm thinking of hasn't exactly been subtle about it.
It IS against the CoC (section 1g) to actually post via two (or more) accounts
as is usually the case, people who break the rules OBVIOUSLY don't think the rules apply to them, that THEY are above the rules .. this is also indicated by a overly large ego .. and a sense of irreplaceableness
