I could probably gather enough friends together who would submit entries so all the images could be sent in. They would then need a cut of the prize money or at least a night on the town. $12,500 would be nice;-)

there is a maximum of 3 submissions so if you ran a contest it would have to be the top three that went forward

Sam, I think you hit the nail on the head with that remark;-) We pay about 50% tax in Canada. Grrrrr. And $100,000,000 has gone missing from federal reserve. Federal election on 28th and those so and so's are not getting back in...I keep my fingers crossed;-)

That's a silly excuse... after all, they get to pick the winner don't they? So who cares if some of the entries aren't high quality...

Perhaps all members of Caedes, taken as an entity, could enter as a professional organization?

It seams a very bizarre rule - if thats all they want it would be easier to just have a roster of design agencies pitch for the job - it would cost them half that amount. and quality? previous olympic symbols havent exactly pushed the design envelope have they. I think we should enter as a design organisation - get lots of publicity if we won and use the cash to fund some sort of get together convention or something.
