OK...first, I will warn that there is a really good chance of spoilers, so anyone who hasn't read all 7 books, may want to come back to this thread at a later date.

For everyone else...
OMG HP7 was a real rollercoaster ride...but the very last chapter sucked!! I really wanted to know what happened to the other characters...like George Weasley (did he continue his shop w/o Fred?)...and Luna Lovegood...what about Hagrid (does he still live at Hogwarts, still teaching, etc)...who raised Teddy Lupin (perhap's Tonk's aunt) and did he ever have werewolf tendencies...Were the Malfoy's sent back to Azkeban (or saved because of the part Mrs Malfoy played in the end)...and Hermione's muggle parents in Australia (did she find them and release her spell)...

I was also very sad about Snape, but very happy to know that he stayed true to the Big D all along!!

So...let's dish, talk story lines...maybe even write our own book tying up loose ends...
What did you love or hate about the books--individually or as a whole? Should Rowling take us back to Hogwarts at a later date?

I have not have the change to read nr 7 but I already know that Rowling must not stop writing and she realy must go back to Hogwarts

She said that she wasn't going to say no to a Hogwart's university... but no chance now! We already saw the future, and they didn't go to uni, so there won't be anymore.

Grrr.

Last chapter was a real letdown. Oh well.

Jacq, pretty much everybody died!! It was a bloodbath!! And some of those who died, I was pissed about...like Fred Weasley, the twins were awesome and shouldn't have been separated by Fred dying. And the poor owl...they killed Harry's owl even!!

The book was awesome until she jumped 20 years ahead, then it was a total letdown of an ending!! Aurgh!!

And she was saying something about the last word of the book for years... and then changed it! To 'well'?!?!

And to all those wishing for a list of the losses... here ya go. There were more who died but these were the deaths of the important characters.

You know when Ron comes back after rescuing Harry, and Hermione beats him up? Am I the only one who has an exact film in their mind of what that bit will look like in the film?

I definately had that scene in my minds eye...poor Ron, bet he'll never be that stupid again!!!
Am I the only one who got pissed about Fred?? The twins rocked...I cried after that chapter, probably more than even my beloved Snape.

I loved all the books and am happy how she ended it.

I was so happy about Snape, and was so very very AWWWW when it turned out he loved Lily.

The doe was a nice touch, too.

Couldn't tell you...the idea of Harry dying was hard enough to come to grips with. Even though, he didn't really die, Voldemort's horcrux did.

True. I think most people were confused by that. In fact I am yet to meet a person who wasn't.

The funny thing is, Voldemort made the same mistake thrice...he tried to kill Harry as a baby, he tried to kill Harry again, and destroyed his 7th (though unintentional) horcrux, and he tried to finish Harry off again, but he only killed himself.

Evil? Yes. Evil genius? Nooooo.
