I have 35 pictures on caedes and only 2 of them have a nice c-index. Could you tell me what you think of my gallery.

your two butterflies with the high scores are excellent, pink rose, orange daisy, and marigolds are very good. the dragonflies are really good too. beauty in the garden and dailily 2 could use a little more contrast. give yourself a chance. you're doing great!

A lot of your flower and butterfly type of images could benefit from a shallower depth of field, in order to isolate your subject from its background .. show me only what you WANT me to see

The c-index is a joke! you have great photos!

the majority of your pics seem a little flat in contrast - more so in the lighting than the colour and as Keith has pointed out often lack a central area of interest either due to DOF or composition issues. that, coupled with a choice of subject matter that is quite saturated would I imagine, be the reason for the majority of them receiving an average or slightly above average score. hope that is of some help.
