Hello I am relatively new on Caedes and have post only a few images. I'd really like some input about them. I am not sure how to point you to them (perhaps the FAQ answers that) but I am as of now in the dark. My most recent is Duo Convergent in Abstract and also in New images. Please comment! Thanks, .kmgatzka
Abstract images are, shall we say, a gamble .. you have to strike a chord with the viewer and create something that they can relate to ... the small preview image (thumbnail) has to "sell it" on the street (in the new images gallery) for the viewer to even come into your shop and look closer
If they DO look closer, and have little to say about it because they can't really relate to it, they are likely to move on without saying anything, because they figure that you must like that style, and who are they to say what needs fixing ... it is, after all, an abstract, inexplicable creation ... if they aren't grabbed by the thumbnail image they won't even look closer .. time is precious, as they say
photography, on the other hand, is a capture of something that we can all relate to, even when done poorly, creatively, or exceptionally ... and will, more easily, move a viewer to have an opinion
this isn't to say that you should stop posting abstracts .. as you comment on other people's works they will come to recognize your name and stop in to view your offerings .. and will, in time, feel more comfortable critiquing your works. ... it just takes a little patience, new members are often confused why they don't get the traffic of more established members
