apart from one thread that appears to have developed a life of its own - the rest of the kennyjey crap has been actioned I think. the best thing to do with spammers is to just ignore the posts in the first place.

I agree Phil, but it is nice to see the posts disappear and not clutter up the forum. However, I just mentioned that one as an example, there are other things around here that could probably use Consul level help - that was my real point.

The way I see it.. people get Global banned for other things why not this, they are NOT contributing to the site in any shape or form except to spam.. if it was me I would lock them out permanently.. end of story!

Spam leads to arguments and derogative posting most of the time.
This is not a typical message board, I take it a little more seriously than that, so spamming this place is childish imo.
It would be good to have stronger rules and comeback to spammers so we can keep it all friendly, mature and on topic :)

Well, getting back to the original idea of the thread...
In order for a new consul, or consuls to be chosen, two things have to happen. One, *caedes has to select them,and two, members need to be willing to take on that monumental task,and responsibility.
Lately, *Geri's attention/interest/time/responsibility seems to be elsewhere,as opposed to here.. *waits*

That kind of daily site maintenance is too much for one person only to handle, and there were previously 2 people to help out. One has gone M.I.A. and the other is no longer involved @ that level. Time to get some new ones?
