for the record .. the $300.00 is probably old info, and wasn't increased with the last storage addition and increased bandwidth usage (circa January 06) when "archiving" came into vogue and "deletion" became passι ...

Verena .... enough already. Stop. All this over ads ? It's not that I'm unsympathetic but asking the same questions a dozen different ways won't get you the answer you want. Neither will trying to embarrass the MODS or Geri. That is definitely NOT the way to go.
Could you have possibly gifted sombody with a subscription & then forgotten about it ? Since you obviously got a PayPal receipt for something. There must've been donations to the site since September 23rd, & I'm sure they've gone through so there has to be an answer.
But this incessant berating at Caedes & the mods over your donation is getting nowhere. Nor is it helping your cause.

I have no gripe, I just wanted some answers, nothing more. I have not asked the same question a dozen different times, nor

Just for the record, here is some interesting information..If anyone would like to they can go to FAQ and find most any answer they are searching for in caedes.net It explains in there that if anyone would like to donate just $3.00 per month, they will be able to contribute for the lease of the site which is $300.00 And in return we receive a few "perks." If you will count, you will find the names of 649 people who have paid that amount. That brings a
total of $1947.00 per month, a very hefty amount towards that'
$300.00 that is needed. I think we are all pretty generous, and that the caedes site is certainly well taken care of financially with that. It's for sure well and above the three hundred that is needed. Correct me if I made an error if you wish.

donating members names do not get deleted from the list when their subscription expires but their positions in the list change dependent on how much they have donated in total during their time here as I understand it.

People who have donated do not ever have their names removed from that list as far as I'm aware. There are many people listed there who have not visited the site for years. So the way I figure it... the site has been running for just under six years now... $1947 divided by 72 months = $27 dollars a month, which leaves caedes out of pocket by $3 a month...
Of course the cost of hosting the server will have increased a fair bit since that page was written, as it has increased in size quite a bit... and this also doesn't allow for the fact that some individuals would have donated more than three dollars (and some may have donated less)... but I don't see how any of this affects us anyway.
