I've noticed alot of talk lately on new tutorials.
Perhaps there should be a forum for requesting tutorials, I'm sure theres alot of stuff alot of people out there want to know.
Or maybe people should just speak up about what they want to know. Maybe they could post a request in this thread?

masks layers etc. i have read a fair bit on them but am having trouble understanding what they are ... can anyone explain them in plain language please.

perhaps us beginners should try to have the same software so that we can make it easier for the experienced tutors to converse with us ... what are your thoughts?

Thats a good tutorial fantom, I'm sure many people have a problem with it. Anyone want to take it up? If not I could get to it when I get the time.

I could do something on layers, (again when I have the time) but I haven't used masks before.

I uploaded a tutorial on icons, after seeing several posts about icons.
It teaches basic animation (I didnt cover tweening and such), and more importantly optimizing the file size, which has been asked about in the discussions. Tutorial: Simple Animated Icons

I will do one on layers, but you have to be more specific. Basically tell me what goal u have in mind for the use of layers and masks.
