At October 8th, 2007 I posted my "Zeeland Countryside (38), Autumn in Zeeland" image. Please click here for this image. A couple of days later, 11 voters (according my Caedes Control Panel) gave me a C-index of 75. (Think I may conclude that they gave me in all about 83 points). At October 10th, 2007 I was surprised (in a negative way) as I saw that the C-index was dramatically dropped to 53. So I watched again my Caedes Control Panel and saw now that the number of voters had increased to 15 voters which gave me that C-index. (Think I may conclude they gave me in all about 80 points). To me this mean that the last 4 voters gave me minus 3 points in total. Can anyone explain to me this strange phenomenon? Thank you in advance. Regards, Cornelius

It isn’t that strange Cornelius – as has been explained in the forums often before – the number of votes that appears in the control panel is updated instantly whereas the scores are calculated over a much longer period. That is quite a hefty drop though – much more than the usual (and perfectly normal) 10-15% drift that often causes people to cry foul. I take it you mean shot 36 – it’s a nice shot but the frame may have damaged its score as they often polarise opinion.

Thanks Phil for your quick and by me very appreciated response. I really didn't know this, else I hadn't put forward this question. On the other hand it's strange that some people rewarded me with a zero while, on the other hand, the voters before gave me an average 7.5 score and the given comments were, without any exception, very positive. Want to use this opportunity to say 'thank you' (notice the inverted commas) to the 'zero-points' voters for their 'brave' behaviour. Think they are not succesful in their attempt to frustrate me. I will go on posting to Caedes as long as the straight forward comments on my images are constructive and positive and as long as I'm able to do this. Cornelius

That’s a very good approach to take – for sure it would seem that there is a group at least of individuals who are again using the voting system to attack people or simply to disrupt the system and the site in general for whatever twisted reasons. Total set of losers who are definitely not welcome here at all.
