hey guys! if anyone gets the chance.. could i catch some constructive criticism on red fountain, what do you want?, my purpose, or a beautiful sound? Suggestions on other shots is more than welcome, these are just my most recently posted.

Any way they could be improved is what i'm looking for. Also the things about the shots that should or could be repeated is also stuff i'd like to know. I'm just a baby photographer who wants to learn and improve!

RE: My Purpose .. As a still-life set-piece, it needs some help .. there are very few still-lifes submitted to the site (in the great scheme of things) .. I feel the composition of the book in the frame is lacking, partly due to there being nothing else in the frame, just blackness .. the glare coming off the object in the back and the wires (?) are distractions ... making this, IMHO, a snapshot that presented itself and you took it ...

decide how you want the Bible presented and its position, then fill the area with interesting\related objects (ie, reading glasses, cup of tea, whatever) ... find the right\understated\un-clichι placements, don't overcrowd .. also, cover the table with fabric, perhaps a subtle pattern\fringe

remember: detail and texture ..

your camera should be on a tripod .. step back and check your composition thru the viewfinder .. move the camera, check other views ... introduce ambient light via a table lamp (warm) .. or a window (cool) ... mix flash with ambient .. place a handkerchief over your flash to diffuse the light. Experiment with aperture settings\focal points so that just the key area is in focus

well... it wasn't actually a snapshot.. i attempted setting this up but i can absolutely see how it can be viewed that way. all of your suggestions were wonderful and i appreciate them VERY very much! i value constructive criticism like this and i will take this all into consideration as each comment seems to be not a personal preference but simply good photography skills. Again, your advice on any of my other works is welcome and i appreciate your help. I hope in future submissions from me you see your advice come into play. Thanks so much!
