I recently joined another site to upload and hopefully sell my images and came across a worthwhile group.

Art for Conservation is a group of artists who sell their work and donate the proceeds to a conservation trust of their choice.

There are some wonderful images and T-shirts to buy and much to learn about conservation :)
It is run by a professional wildlife photographer called Carmen.

Please indulge me and visit..it's a subject close to my heart and this group features conservation all over the world, though mainly Europe and the USA.

Neat idea. Do you suppose the Nature Conservancy will pick up on that? Or National Geographic?

There are some amazing animal photographers over there.. Natalie Manuel is one of my fav's especially this pic she too donates money to the various trusts, one of her's is the Gorilla foundation..

One thing I wondered about with that group, I presume the profits go to the artists and then we are relying on the artist's word that they are going to donate the money to the charity? It's cynical I know but I'm sure there would be at least a few conscienceless people who would take advantage... I would feel more comfortable if the profits were sent directly from the site owner to the charity. In any case I can't imagine an individual is going to make much out of it and the benefit to charities from the rest of the honest people would be worth any risk.

I have been a member there for awhile, but have yet to sell a photo. I will add all the recent photos I have taken at the World Bird Sanctuary, and donate any profits to them. Thank you for the info. My user name is ziggy7 on that site.
