I put together a composition that included a photo that features a large cross in a cemetery. I was thinking of posting the composition in an attempt to find out who took the photo, but in re-reading the Code of Conduct, I realized I would, in effect, be posting something that didn't belong to me. But I can't find the picture on Caedes any longer. So, what would be the proper way for me to find the owner of the photo to get permission from them to use the image and so that I can give credit? This is not a commercial thing...just something to give to a few friends.
If you still have the image saved it should have a name attached to it...check its properties. Did you find it in the new images gallery or a permanent gallery? If it was in new images, it may have been archived.
you could also look @ Stock Xchng (search results for "cross", 50 pages)
if you aren't familiar with them .. they are FREE .. you need an acct to download .. and some members wish to be contacted with a link to your finished work (listed under each image) if posted publicly
you might find a suitable replacement
oh! .. and .. the last row on the first couple pages of a "search" DO cost money .. (they link to a sister site)
