I made this in photoshop, but I can't perfect it: http://www.caedes.net/Zephir.cgi?lib=Caedes::Infopage&image=bridgebrain-1197269152.jpg
I already fixed the heart shape, and worked towards shaping up the insides, but the colors won't work... help please
Grunging: .. from the verb To Grunge .. is just a term for "dirty'ing" something up .. and it can be accomplished several ways, assuming you have Photoshop or similar program
TEXTURES: .. people point their cameras at the craziest of things ... some of these things would make a CAEDES.NET voter score real low ... but these same things would make a photo-manipper squeal with delight ... sxc.hu: texture (sorted by DL's)
one of the purposes of "layers" in photoshop (and similar) is for blending and manipulation ... another purpose, is for image preservation .. this allows you to experiment\fail\fix, without re-creating the entire work from scratch
so .. create an empty layer above your 'heart' .. fill it with a texture, pattern or brush-work (resize, if necessary) .. and experiment with the blending choices found on the layers palette ... also, if you fail to achieve a usable 'look', move your texture layer below your 'heart', set it back to 'normal', and adjust the blend-mode of the 'heart'
experiment .. adjust opacity .. layer several textures .. desaturate something to remove color and leave only texture ... invert the colors of something ... blend .. experiment .. amaze your peers with your deep reservoirs of patience
Thanks Keith. I've been using that, but I don't really know my photoshop terms. How about a camo in multiply? it looks promising, but i don't want to upload twenty copies of the same image, so please, any inspiration or thoughts would be helpful. Thank you all and good night. *falls asleep at keyboarddddddddddddddddddd
