Europe uses different voltage .. I think they call it "voltaire" .. anyhow, I heard that word somewhere and figured it was European voltage

;)

what do you mean by "half loads"? .. The Mem-Card?

Hard to guess what it miht be, not knowing what camera it is. If it has a memory card, maybe that's the problem. Try removing it and using the internal memory, if applicable.
A friend had a similar problem recently and ended up formatting the card to correct it, I think, or maybe replacing the card.

loris could have nailed it on the head for you. cameras and cards can often have 'falling outs' with each other depending on the brand of card so your possible fixes could be as suggested already. if he has access to the net he can check his manufacturers website in the support section which may flag problems like that and also offer firmware updates for the camera to fix it.

European voltage is 220V on 50 Hz and american is 110V on 60 Hz. But all batteries and chargers accept automatically the two settings.
That's not the problem.
Maybe the battery is simply dead?
If not, try this: take out the battery for one or two hours and then replace it. It will make a general reset.
Hope it helps :-)
