I noticed and complained about 2 usernames that had to be deleted cause of young viewers in the past week and a half. These usernames don't leave any ID about themselves, and it gets annoying to see this. Is there any way someone can delete this before it shows on Caedes, just like a bad picture for young viewers gets deleted when it is uploaded. I just thought I bring this to someone's attention!
I understand this Sam, but if you check every picture uploaded you can see manually checking every picture might be rather tie consuming also, but it gets done!
The pictures are screened as they come in, the job of the imagemods. Its a completely different story to run through a list of already existing usernames, or already existing photos. Though you may be able to get away with searching for specific strings. Perhaps they could just set a username screen for future names and just have to deal with the ones already created if no one wants to go through the old names.
What do you think about "noobguy", I hope its not offensive =O
There might be downfalls to introducing such a system. For example, currently you are allowed to look at a certain number of images without registering, to get a feel for the site. However after a while the site will require you to register (I'm sure most of us went through this at the beginning). Now, what if there arean't any imagemods online at the time? That means you can't register and you will just have to wait until a mod comes online before you can look at the site any more. This might discourage new members from coming back...
That's true, I agree 100% with you. But I'm on another site close to the same as this one..(no names) and was approved through my e-mail first before I got excepted.
We could conceivably implement such a system, however the software doesn't currently have that feature. If you'd like to see the feature added then you can go to the dev site (http://dev.caedes.net/) and make the suggestion onthe discussion board. Thanks.
