please check out the portrait of this not so beautiful animal. i thought it was a unique view of his face. where did i go wrong? suggestions please.

My preference is to have the eyes open Jen. Your color is also slightly cool. Your camera most likely caught this as a daylight image whereas it looks to be in the shade. This brings out the blue in the image.

Other than listed above I'm not sure you 'went wrong'. Are you referring to the c-index number when you say that, or was there something else?

thanks for your help. the color is something that i had not thought of. the eyes being closed was another thing i didn't consider as i loved the color of the eyelids. i certainly can understand wanting to see the eyes. i have another shot of this same guy that i might upload.

one other thing.. there appears to be a slight motion blur. perhaps a quick visit to "Smart Sharpen" might help.
