I have a question for anyone that has any kind of photoshop... ..or photoshot whatever its called.
Is it free? Like can I download it off the internet or do I have to buy it?
Or do any of you know any other good "picture editing" program?
Photoshop, designed by Adobe, isn't free unfortunately.. I'm sure you could illegally find it but I am not suggesting that by any means. I'm not sure the price, the latest version is 7 I believe, and is quite pricey. Jasc corporation makes Pain Shop Pro which has been around quite a long time as well, I haven't priced either of them out but I prefer Photoshop, I use version 6 still. Ulead is also a decent company that has editing software. Those would be my 3 pics for photo manipulation software. Prices though I can't tell you off the top of my head. I don't know of any good freeware editing software except Gimp. It's free and it's a pretty well done clone of Photoshop, the windows version however is pretty buggy. I'd do a search on google for gimp for windows if you're interested in it. Overall that's a good free program, but can't think of any others, hope this helps.
Yeah it does. Thanks Joel! and as for you Anthonoy, what i have to say to that is HHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THat's aaaa llloooooooootttt!!! ...thanks guys.
I use from Ulead, PhotoImpact XL and i find more usefull then photoshop 7,but it's only my opinion. For sure i find more simple and quickly to use the lasso tool to generate the selection area.
photoshop has a lasso tool, ulead's software came free with my camera, its functions are very similar to other free manipulation programs. They come in handy for ease of use and lots of presets. I started on MGI photosuite which came with my webcam, and started gabi out there as well. In the end I had to eventaully move to photoshop, I dont think many of the programs out there come close to its power, and flexibility. Just requires more "sit down and learn" time.
You might want to try Photoshop Elements from Adobe. It is a very good stripped down version of Photoshop and can be purchased for $50 to $100. Check your local Walmart or Best Buy.

"The Gimp" is like photoshop, it is very similar, and it is free!!! it has filters, does layers and everything that photoshop does, almost. See the thread about free programs in this discussion board

I've not ran into any bugs for GIMP that weren't put there on purpose...the GIMP deweirdifier plug-in can fix some of those things that make it seem odd. I find it a very good software and in fact have changed from Photoshop to GIMP
