The Plains was a photo I posted not too long ago, and didn't get a whole lot of feedback...I would really appreciate some brutally honest feedback on what works and what doesn't with the photo. Of all my work it was the least viewed/downloaded, but it's one of the few I've actually used as wallpaper myself. Thank you all for the help and advice!
The first thing that strikes me when I look at this photo is that the focus isn't sharp, the whole image seems rather fuzzy. It also seems a bit crooked, titling to the right. (but that could be an optical illusion due to the sloping hill.) But aside from that...I find the subject lacks interest, there's no focal point, with the exception of the sky which is nice and brooding. What am I looking at? It just lacks impact for me. I'm looking at your gallery and I am surprised this is yours! All your other landscape images have more of a "punch"
I would agree/\, but to me the sky also seems somewhat noisy. Did you use any sort of noise reduction on this? NeatImage was suggested to me and I love it (they have a free home use version).

Hello I agree with the above comments, The river looks like a mud flat and I find no special point of interest to gaze upon. Hope my view does not offend you.
