I found this article in Nikon News.
And here is the result...

When can we go there? ;-)

That page takes ages to load but the photos are spectacular. They are well waiting for.

As for going there, We might have to wait for the Sudis to build their spaceport at Dubai.

There are three colours, Ten digits and seven notes, its what we do with them that’s important. Ruth Ross

What a feather in Nikons cap!
The photo's are breathtakingly beautiful. I have a deep respect for the astronauts and the knowledge that they possess. Thanks for that link Pierre!!

I took the second photo for my actual desktop.
The last with the storm (Dean?) is really impressive...

I preferred it when they used the Kodak cams with the Nikon glass - the quality was much better even though they were older cams :-) you don’t notice it really in orbital shots but the levels of detail when they are shooting the surface is extremely poor comparatively with the Nikons as much of the fine detailing is lost in sensor noise. Should have taken some Hasselblad MF digitals :-) the problems became really obvious last year when they recorded the shiveluch volcano eruption from the ISS – virtually no ground detail was perceptible at all – just a mass of chroma noise – an earlier eruption recorded with the Kodak’s had much greater definition in its capture. Seems a little churlish i guess but if you are recording something for scientific purposes – it’s also kind of important.

Well, ok then ... 'churlish' used in this context fits.

But ... watch out mister ... I got my vernacular eye on you ...

*keeps an eye on Phil ... runs into a pole*

p.s. Robert? Page loaded instantly for me. *shrugs*

I guess MY internet connection is bigger ... er, faster ... faster than yours.
