HELP! CS2: Keeping Text Quality

I have a request for help from all of you CS2 gurus out there.

I'm currently working on album art for a friend of mine and am having some issues with maintaining good quality with my lower sized text (18 pt to be exact). I've printed out the images to see what they would look like in the case, but haven't been satisfied with the results.

The text comes out pixelated and choppy, and I don't want that to be something that represents the album or myself as the artist. I really want to make this as professional as possible, so any tips or tricks of the trade would be extremely useful as I need to finish this ASAP.

Thank you!

Turn on the "anti-aliasing" option for your text, that will smooth your text out to keep it's proper appearance.

Also in your preferences, there will be an option for "Font Smoothing" for fonts under whatever size you set (I think it's default is 12 or 14). You can play with that one also.

Good luck!
