hey all, i'm fairly new here and i've seen some awesome pics, but i need to know more. i'm in high school, and like messing with comp graphics, and i was wondering what some good programs were. i've heard about terragen and such, so could you give me some opinions about it? also, how about programs for fractals? thx so much for the help; i know i'll become a bit more frequent around here ^^;;
See my sig. Academicsuperstore.com has great discounts on all kinds of Software for us Students. I got LW for just under $400 and will be getting Adobe Creative Suite Premium for $380. XSI is $400, Flash is $100, Bryce $50 etc. You get the idea. Ultra Fractal is the best program of its kind IMO. Check out some of Green Armanis work (deviantart and wincustomize) and you'll see why. You might also want to check out World Builder or Vue d' Esprit as an alternative to Terragen, as I found Terragen to be kind of frusturating. And, you might even check out Rhino, which is under $150 for students at academicsuperstore.
Good luck finding software right for you (as it can be tedious at times) : )
hey
i checked out terragen on planetside.uk...i was wondering did anyone download the program from here? i just want to make sure its not going to be infected. ty
I have downloaded it from there, I have not received any infections (well at least anythat I know of, I downloaded it onto a computer with Norton AntiVirus, with updated virus definitions, and that was months ago).
