Pretty sure 'we' have all been amazed at one point or another with the fascinating features, magazines et al ... that have their origins with the National Geographic organization.
Now, you can see a different Photo of the Day as one of their features on their site.
As well, there is a section for tips and advice, found here.
Macro photography, landscape and more of course. Found their "People & Portrait Photography Tips" excellent, as that is one genre of photography I particularly enjoy.
"Think what a better world it would be if we all, the whole world, had cookies and milk about three o'clock every afternoon and then lay down on our blankets for a nap." - Robert Fulghum
I've been to the National Geographic site on several occassions. I really hadn't noticed the photo tip part before ... I usually go straight to the galleries, mainly underwater.
I especially enjoyed the macro photography tips & found them very valuable as well as the other genres mentioned.
Les, thank you for sharing this & I have bookmarked the site for future reference.
That site is really addictive. Gallery after gallery of really beautiful works. As I went through the photos of the day I realized that we have a few photographers here who generate comparable work, and it made me proud to be a part of this place. We're striving to make our permanent galleries places of exceptional beauty, and with the diligent work of our community maybe we'll succeed. Thanks for posting this Les.
