Hi Everyone, I am still finding my way around the site, I am very impressed by the fantastic work on here. I have reviewed about 70 pics in the viewers booth so far, but I need to know am I DOING THINGS RIGHT. Is it the norm to give a rating but no comment, also how do you get any feed back from peeps who have looked at your own work. Sorry to be long-winded, But I feel with such high standards of work I need to be voting in the right way.
apparently it is quite normal to vote without leaving comments, from what i noticed with my photos.
Though it is encouraged to leave comments more than half the views don't. If they really find your work interesting and they see it could use some improvements they would let you know.
by the way, welcome to caedes.
You can vote with no comment, but once you go view the posting you can then comment if you'd like to. You can get feedback from people by their comments about your posting, and you can also send them a PM(personal message). Most things are covered real well on the left of the caedes site. Under Discussion Board there is great stuff to learn about from many people who ask things, or go to FAQ OR "OTHER STUFF" and people here are very willing to answer questions too. It's a great site, and I want to welcome you also...nice to see you and I'll go thru your gallery now too. Some nice shots there...where in UK do you live? Verena
The voting booth doesn't have much commenting functionality. The intent behind the voting booth is to allow you to view and vote on as many images as possible. Commenting is generally done separately. I personally almost never stop voting to leave comments. If I did, I wouldn't be able to process as many images as I do, so yes you are doing it right. And thanks for voting. We need people to vote and let us all know what they think of our work.
