I just had to post this. I have been to other art sites, and I just had to say this is BY FAR the best site that I know of. Sorry for "advertising" another site but, there is a popular site called deviantArt.com, but it is nothing like this one. It is somewhat confusing, they do not allow you to search unless you suscribe, and alot of the images people upload does not appear due to errors. This server here is fast, and the environment is very helpful. Thanks Caedes for this awesome skill increasing opportunity!!

yeah my cousin and younger sister use that site but i aint a fan of it cause after i've viewed a few works the site always crashes IE. shame cause some of the work is quiet good.

It never crashed my IE, but it does give me a lot of popups with spyware occasionally. Good think I know how to spot spyware without a scanner... I can catch things my scanner doesn't! :) Anyways, I am glad I found this site.

Try scrapping I.E & getting Firefox as a browser for one.

The reason it has so much advertising or requires subscriptions is because it is a huge website with shedloads of members, that takes cash to run.
They host hundreds of thousands of images & have a massive community within, it is bound to suffer some issues because of it's size.
Different strokes for different folks.
However sometimes a smaller community is better, it's more friendly because you are within a smaller group, so can get to know more people within the community as you have more contact.
There are some things I prefer about Devart & vice versa.
Both however do a fantastic job of giving artists a home where they can showcase work or learn new tricks of the trade.

I like the overall format of this site. DeviantArt has nice stuff on it, and I know it needs all those advertisements on the site to power it, but that doesn't coerce me into liking it more than this site. I have an account on that site, and it is completely inactive now. I do respect DeviantArt thought, that is a heck of alot of work to support the popularity they have. But I still like Caedes more! :D
