Let me start by saying that I know very little about art, fractals, computers, flash, java and just about everything else I am going to discuss here. I only know what my end product should be, and I am looking for some help in achieving it.
I am trying to have circular or spiral fractal, kaleidoscope-type images turned into either a mini-movie as a standalone, executable file, or preferably as computer screensaver with a click-able feature which can spawn a website via an embedded link.
Can fractals be put in motion or are they rendered one frame at a time? Is there software that can do this and "output" fractals as if they were a movie? I am looking for that morphing quality along with brilliant color and crisp images that fractals have.
I once had a file years ago and it was exactly what I am looking for except the crispness wasn't there and the colors were always stratified...they never commingled to form a third color. I believe it was in flash and it was self-contained. Unfortunately, I lost the file in a computer crash. I was able to bring the file up on the net, and then detach it onto my screen with the click of a button. It would keep running while I was disconnected from the net as long as I kept the frame open. I could also run it from a self-contained file that the developer sent me.
Does anyone have any idea how to accomplish this and which software(s) I would need to have this commissioned? If anyone knows the answer to this, I would really appreciate you sending me an instant message.
Thanks for reading my post and good luck with all the wonderful artwork.
