I was monitoring the rating of one of my latest images The Crops are Dead. And I noticed in the image rankings the raw rating was 86 when it had 7 votes. Now its at 76 with 8 votes. Meaning someone either gave it a 0 or 1 (doubtful). Or the image rankings dont update in real time or something. Has anyone noticed this b4? I think its the latter also because I've often noticed its not in sync with your control panel.

I am pretty sure that the c-index updates every 24 hours, so it is not immediate. I had an image with a ranking of 88, and a friend commented on how high that was, but it had only one vote, and i said that as soon as it got more votes and 24 hours past it would change (and it did!). I don't know a whole lot about the c-index, but I am pretty sure about this.

I wasnt refering to c-index. I was refering to the raw rating (user votes). Mainly I was refering to the way the image rankings are updated.

Correctomundo about the 24-hour cycle. Depends when the votes are entered during the cycle to be added to the c-index. BTW, if the image gets five votes before the c-index has updated, then the c-index will probably have an unrealistic value {like zero) untill the c-index is calculated for the first time.

I dont think you guys understood my question. I wasnt talking about c-indexes I was talking about the raw rating. In the image rankings you can see the rating from user votes regardless of c-index.

When you say that the raw rating isn't in sync. what two locations are you using to get the value?

I think Anthony meant that the raw rating was not in sync with the number of votes, in terms updating at the same time, because it is unlikely someone would give a decent picture a vote of zero. I don't know how often the image rakings update but I'm guessing that you got the number 7 by looking at your control panel and the vote of 86 from the image rankings. Perhaps the number of votes in the image rankings at that time was less than 7 and you didn't notice (since the control panel has real-time updates for everything except c-index and the image rankings do not)? Otherwise, if you did get the number 7 from the image rankings, I guess not all of the elements of an image (votes, views, etc.) in the image rankings list update at the same time.
