For whomever would like to participate... I have a suggestion for an assignment/exercise. Why not grab (as in purchase.. not steal :P) a disposable digital camera. No bells, no whistles and it would be a level playing field.

Go shoot

a still life in which a square, rectangle, or circle is the shape of the predominant item, figure, or focal point.

editing...

resizing, cropping, and basic color or lighting editing allowed only. no sharpening, advanced editing, or manipulation allowed.

who's up for it?

Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.

I've been trying to do this for the past 2 years ...

...my dad's like: I'm not buying you one of those; you already have a sweet camera.

ok. for you, Noah, set your cam to 200 ISO and put it on P. Choose auto everything, WB etc. Choose one focal distance (100mm for example) and go shoot. fair?
