Deana, try using the "Google search" on your computer to find the answers to some of these questions you are posting.
It is an invalauble tool in our household for just these type issues.
Hope this helps.

Yeah, I am very fond of my little DS.

Generally the only time I ever go on the chat or download play is when I'm on holiday or when my brother wants to annoy me with his drawings.

It shouldn't be anything to do with the area you are in, it is more likely to be something to do with distance, the DS generally as a rule cannot reach a range of either more than 50 meters or ft... can't remember which.

Although sometimes it can reach more, sometimes less.

Try at a closer radius, there might just be connection problems, if not there might be a fault with one of the consoles.

Hope this helped, as I cannot live without my DS as material as that sounds. Solitaire keeps me sane in my crazy moments.

Hi Deana, I think what mimi was trying to way in a polite way was we all need to be cognizent of how much bandwith we are using. This site uses an incredible amount of bandwidth (which isn't free) just to upload all the photo's, threads just add to that. No one is saying you can't or shouldn't start a new thread, but please be cognizant of bandwidth use. There are 49 threads on the first 2 pages, 10 of them initiated by yourself. That is 20% of the threads on the first 2 pages. No one else (that I noticed) has initiated more than 4, and several of those are very popular long running ones. General questions can often be answered by Google, Yahoo Questions, or Ask.com.

Again, I hope I not offending you here, just trying to be honest. Nothing wrong with trying new threads, but keep an eye on them and if there isn't much interest after a few days delete them as a courtesy.

Caedes is meant to be an all inclusive community which is why we, as members, are allowed to start threads, but that courtesy comes with a responsibility to use the bandwidth responsibly and for topics that are of interest to many members. Again, nothing wrong with trying something new, but watch it for a few days and delete it if it's not flying.

I am not a mod, or anything but a member of the cadre, and a fairly new one at that, so I hope no one thinks I am out of line. Just my thoughts.

Its funny how a family can be torn apart by something as simple as a pack of wild dogs.
