I've been coming to Caedes alot lately, simply because everyone's work here is absolutely stunning. However, I've always felt a little guilty, for the simple fact that I could never make any kind of contributions myself. I know absolutely nothing about 3D modeling, and I've never really had a decent camera. Until now, that is.
I recently picked of the Canon PowerShot A85, and it's definitely nice. It takes some really Hi-Res pictures (2272 X 1704) and is just generally a good all-around camera.
The problem with this is that I'm currently living in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. And while there is some really interesting stuff here, I really wanted to do something more... out of the norm.
Luckily this is exactly what's going to be happening. On September 27th, 2004 (13 days! JEEBUS!), I'm going to be moving to CyberJaya, Malaysia. It's basically a brand-new city, but it's really close to things like beaches, forests, and this gigantic city called Kuala Lumpur, home of the famous Petronas Towers. I'm really excited about this, and I can't wait to share some of the photos I'll be taking. And just for kicks, I'll post a picture or 2 of Edmonton.
I am like Yin & Yang, my lighter side is balanced by my darkerside, embrace both & you get the whole me, play with one & you will meet the other...

yes can't wait. I have a Canon PowerShot A70 which has done nothing but awesomeness for me!! So I asume that the A85 is the same but better. How many mega-pix is it though? Mine is 3.2. Good luck on the images and the move. Can't wait to see some of your talent!

Thanks everyone. For anyone who was wondering what the camera was, it's, as I said earlier, a PowerShot A85. It says 4 megapixel, but I guess 3.87 is a bit more accurate.
I brought up their website, just for you guys. http://consumer.usa.canon.com/ir/controller?act=ModelDetailAct&fcategoryid=145&modelid=10462
I can't wait to see photos from Kuala Lampur. But don't take for granted the place you are at the moment. Now that you have your camera and have been poking through galleries here, you should be able to look around you with fresh eyes wherever you are.You may not see something new but you can show us something new to us.

Totally! I love the idea of pictures from Malaysia... I have a guy on one of my Messangers... acutally a number of them, but still, not the point. But he's... not as rich as his family would wish, so he doesn't havea digital camera... so I don't get to see pictures of the place from a local's view... no one proffessional... jus Malaysia from one person's eyes.

Sorry I haven't been submitting the overwhelming FLURRY destined to drown and smother you all which I had previously promised, but it would appear that we were, uh, screwed over for lack of a better word, and I don't even have internet. I go into my dad's office every day, but that's for online school and then I get kicked out. And I also can't install the camera software on this computer or anything, so it's hard to get things submitted. My dad did end up in a meeting once and the software is installed on his laptop so I did manage to get one picture up. It was a tough choice, but I decided to go for the one of the towers. Go check it out. GO NOW! I am supposed to be getting internet soon, so I promise that you will be getting pictures of weird flowers and other strange and exotic things, like the weird, super-fast geckos that seem to dominate my apartment.
I am amazed by this site..I have been constantly searching for wallpaper and your site is hands down the best ive seen..I have a suggestion..Please come up with more holiday photos..Thanksgiving and christmas are just about here
Well, I just might be able to do something with that suggestion.
Turns out, that if my dad's team does well with this project, I might be able to spend Christmas in the South China Sea on a yacht. Christmas tree and everything.
