Yes if you've been a donator you do get that message that does NOT mean that you HAVE to pay it..

As its been said before its voluntary, it only means if you donate you get the privilege of being able to upload 2 images and not having to vote before you upload.. There are many members who don't donate and are still enjoying uploading their work and viewing others.

I would just delete the message if you don't want to donate its no big deal.. Just enjoy the site for what it is..

I did not know about the 3 dollar per month. Problably my misstake but I do feel that the information could be more visible.

Well, i guess I have to pay if I want to be able to upload 2 phots a day. But for now I will be content with just one.

all of the information including the $3 and the approximate server costs per month is, and always has been, clearly visible on the page where you donate to the cadre membership.

It is a very small amount to pay for the privilege I think, considering the cost of running the site. You must have paid previously Helena or you would not have been able to upload two photographs.

I think that you may not have been aware of the $3/month Cadre rate because you got your Cadre membership by winning a contest. We generally give one and three month membership to contest winners.

How about if you pay every other month to bring down the total price. Maybe don't pay for the months you are busy elsewhere and not spending much time on Caedes. You are still are able to upload one photo a day enjoy all the other features for FREE. I pay my $3 not to upload more pictures but show my appreciation and support of the site.

Sometimes Caedes is a cool place to be and sometimes not.
As I said, it was my misstake to have missed the info.
I have paid before but I have never seen the info about the 3 dollar per month. I just wish that I could have got the exp. date in a mail (or message) after paying. I was surprised to see that I was no longer a member, thats all.

Guess that I am the only one in here to make a misstake!

The servers that caedes.net uses cost about $400 a month to lease. With a small donation you can help to support the website, and as a special thank you, we will upgrade your membership to the Caedes Cadre group. Cadre members get various perks such as no ads, a higher daily image upload limit, and of course the honorable "::" symbol added to their usernames. This membership will last for one month for each $3 that is given, and your username will remain below in a place of honor.

It is impossible for *caedes to send each member an expiration date. The message your received allows one to donate via PayPal and your account is upgraded to "Cadre" almost immediately.You have never stopped being a member Helena. Joining or not joining the Cadre doesn"t exclude your membership.
