Hi all, I'm thinking of buying a D90. I know it's only just out but if any of you have one (or have had your grubby hands on one) and could post your impressions I'd be most grateful.
This question is now obsolete, I've decided to cut my cloth to suit and I'll be picking up a new D80. Well unless I trip over a bundle of cash in the street tomorrow anyway :)
Aye Phil, I've had a scout around on the web and only found a couple of hands on impressions. Not having bought an SLR for a while I'd forgotten what a pain of indecision it can be when you're on a budget.
By Saturday I'll probably have changed my mind and bought a Canon :D
I picked up a new D80 on the way to work. Tough decision, but having to upgrade to Capture NX 2 for the 90 puts the differential at £270 at the best prices I can find. That's money I'd rather be spending on a good quality tripod or lens rather than a very, very marginal increase in sensor resolution.
Looking forward to getting some new pics posted already :)
I have a D90. Just a tool to unleash my passion for photography although any dslr will do. It's a higher version of the D80. 12 mp with bonus movie feature. I know it does not make anyone a better photographer using the latest photo gear than what they have arleady now.
I don't have a Nikon but as gengis2510 says... but in another's words...
This is what I found when searching for 'the camera' to buy...
The most important part of the camera in getting good pictures is the 12 inches behind it! :o)
I have a D80 and I'm really happy with it.
The interest of the D90 is not really the movie function or the 12 MP, but the quality of the photos taken at high iso. A true improvement over the D80/D70/D60/D50 series
Jonathan.
