this may be just me, but does anyone else who frequents this site suffer from sleep deprivation?.. passing the time at night (or morning) playing in photoshop, or other applications to burn off that extra time.. i'm just curious.. granted sleep deprivation sucks, but maybe its for the better, sleep is highly overrrated
until i was sat at my desk today - so tired my eyes were streaming that much I couldnt focus - I would probably have agreed with that.
v.late night/early morning playing with my new DiVX DVD player watching Hellboy, Hero and Troy consecutively. seamed like a good idea at the time. turned out not so great in practise :-(
i think my work schedule has something to do with my sleep schedule, i don't have to be to work until 11am, and i work until 7, it takes me an hour to get to or from work, so getting home at 8pm, i still have enough energy and caffiene built up in the system to stay up til about 1am, but lately, i've been waking up at 5:30 without the assistance of an alarm clock. so i poke around on caedes for a bit, and play in photoshop until i have to go to work. i can't even imagine what i'd be like working third shift
I've been staying up way into the AM working on my website, but its nothing new, like u mentioned before, I used to spend those same hrs working on images o_O
Ooooooooooooooooooh . . . someone else, too . . .
And here I thought it was only us adolescents who did this . . .
I stay up all night on Tuesdays and Thursdays (sometimes Sundays) because first there are shows until 2:30 I watch Mon-Thurs and I have to get up by 6:30 or 7 on MWF and shows until 3 on Saturdays and I'm afraid I won't wake up in time if I go to sleep then (I'm too deep a sleeper) and the bus only goes by once an hour . . . meaning if I miss it I miss a whole class which is REALLY BAD and on Sundays I wake up so late from Saturday shows I can't sleep until it's too late . . . also, I have a hard time sleeping right when I go to bed, I have to read or something for a while so you can knock off another hour at least . . . and there's this site and also my complete lack of concentration on things I need or want to do so everything takes twice as long . . . concentration probably lost to sleep deprivation in the first place, of course . . . once my psych teacher asked us seventeen questions about sleep deprivation and I answered yes on fourteen--fifteen being a probable sign of sleep disorder . . . though she failed to account for people who just DON'T GO TO BED . . .
. . .
anyway I haven't slept since I woke up at eight last night can you tell from my rambling . . .
I better go do something to wake up now . . .
numb . . . feel like I'm floating . . .
oh, and the only reason I didn't get sixteen out of seventeen was that one question was about alertness while driving and another about how soon drinking affects you and I don't do either.
That's me alright. I can think more clearly at night and have more energy than during daylight no matter how much sleep I get. Some therepist told me once this is normal for more people than you might think and they are just nocturnal. I told her, "No those people are just internet users!" lol
haha, that is too true.. take away my internet, and i have nothing better to do than sleep.. with the internet.. sleep.. bah.. who needs it.. i can sleep when i'm dead
lol wish I had your same thoughts... I sleep like a log. Life is too stressful, the only time I ain stressed or cold is when I'm curled up in my blankets at 6.30 am and I should be getting up for school, but I always steal 20 more minutes [which is why my clock is on so early] and those are the most blessed minutes of the night. =)
I believe in the sun even though it is slow in rising. I believe in you without realizing. I believe in rain though there are no clouds in the sky. I believe in truth even though people lie. I believe in peace though sometimes I am violent. I believe in God even though he is silent.

Back when I was in school, I remember simply not going to sleep two, sometimes three nights out of the week... this meant going all the next day till about midnight without even a nap, and this was something I did consistently for months on end... and I never felt worse for wear. Now I pout about losing a couple hours from my 8 hours a night. I must be getting old :p
I remember when I took a programming class in high school and would stay up till 4am working on a project
I did the same in programming classes early in college
I'm doing the exact same thing right at this moment programming my website
Im like you Stephanie. 5 extra minutes in a warm cosy bed seems like an hour of extra sleeping time... I am just so physically tired that I sometimes cant even make myself get out of bed. Of course I dont stay up as late as some of you... :P
lucky you you've got the self-control to GO to bed when you don't have to stay up . . . although I'm not sure I want that kind of self-control yet--I'm only 19 . . .
It’s just a way that your subconscious mind is telling you that you are nervous. That you are choosing to something that you either do not want to do, or are not ready to do. I.E. I hate my job, why didn't i go to bed earlier , I'm not ready for that test. or why did I commit to this. So what it is comes down to’ is that you are kicking your self in the head.
Haaaa . . . oh wait it's not so funny. I've been there. Oooooooooof, I've got a headache now . . . went to bed at three-thirty last night (technically this morning), got up at seven this morning . . . uggggggghhhhhhhhh . . .
