"Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better" - Albert Einstein ------------------------------------ -----------------------------------------------
By the way.... if I don't thank you by message or post, I doesn't mean I'm not truly grateful for your comments and suggestive insight in regards to my posts.
And just as important - stay involved AFTER tommorrow. Regardless of who you are supporting and regardless of who wins we must hold those in Office accountable to the wishes of the People. To often the Government "of the People, for the People and by the People" has become the Government "of the Special Interest Groups, by the Lobbyists and for the Politicians".
There is tremendous energy out there right now...we cannot let it ebb. How many of us even know who our State Assemblypersons and State Senators are? How many of them have contacted them or their Offices in the last 4 years.
Here in Wisconsin our Legislators freely admit that they know a topic before them is a hot button issue if they get more than 30 calls/letters/e-mails about it. 30. In a state of roughly 5,500,000 people.
Than you Joey for the timely reminder. Please vote - and then stay involved!
For some people that is true, Lauren, they may have to travel for business, etc. For others it is a way to avoid lines...single parents, for example, may have the ability to wait ten minutes to cast an early ballot but not 2 hours on the 4th. Some of us voted early, took a day of vacation tommorow and will be working with a campaign on the final Get Out the Vote push. I do think it is overdone though - Milwaukee alone had 40,000 early ballots cast.
