how much does an image need to be changed for a reupload

just wondering because i just reuploaded an old image that i deleted due to poor quality and strange size that i have now re rendered but it has not turned up in the gallery is it because it just hasnt been checked yet or has it been rejected and if it had would i have got a message

As per the code of conduct, for an image to be reuploaded, it must have undergone a significant change that could be deemed to improve its chances of getting a better critique.

Many people seem to think lately that deleting and reuploading the same image with no changes at all or the tiniest of levels or curve tweaks represents enough of a change to do this – usually because they are unhappy it didn’t stay on the front page long enough or didn’t get enough flattering comments. This is not permissible and usually leads to the image in question being either rejected or archived almost immediately.

i dont care if my image wasnt on the front page for long it was uploaded ages ago but all the comment where that it needed to be a better quality and a more usable size so i reuploaded it with those things and it has been accepted but i dont mind if its archived almost immediatly

that kind of thing is fine - i'm referring to the images that, bar the odd minuscule tweak, are virtually the same thing.
