Re-sizing jpegs

Anyone know how to reduce the file size of a jpeg? I can't upload an image because the file size is too large. I've tried the trimming tool to reduce it but I can't trim it any more as I'll be cutting into the photo itself! With the latest cameras producing more and more mega pixels in their shots the file sizes are inevitably going to get even larger. Help!

Andy, if you haven't any digital imaging software on your PC, This Freebie Application would help you.

If you DO have graphic software, THIS ARTICLE may help.

Marie Ann / Papi11on gave you the best advice for your specific question Andy, I wonder how you got that personal icon though.

I remember commenting on one of your uploads ages ago, are you really using no post editing at all ? .. if the answer is yes I suggest you get familiar with PhotoFiltre it's a free programme that I use all the time. It does many many different things but it can also compress images to different file sizes which is often required by websites other than Caedes, send me a pm if you want further advice.
