I see 56 total users online 49 guests online and 7 usernames online (56-49=7) and my name isn't there! Sometimes it is... sometimes it's not. Is there an explanation or is it one of those don't ask thingies? Am I a guest tonight and not a user? :o)

Con, there is a delay from the time you log on until your name shows up as a 'user online'. It has to do with the names being cached. There is also a time lag from when you log off......it might still show you as being 'logged on'.
In addition, *caedes has it programmed so that if you walk away from your computer while on the site, after "X" amount of time, you will automatically be logged off.
If you are not actively changing pages here, it can also show you logged out. So, user online is not done in real time!

Thank-you Mimi for your reply. Just now I was again not showing as a user online... so I did as directed... browsed the images, and lo and behold, my name appeared! I wasn't worried about the guest thing... my mind (sense of humour) just works that way. [Do you know what time it is? ... yes!] :o)
