I make webpages, and i was wondering if all these images were ok to use, or if they are copywrited and i ned to give credit to them.

No images here are in the public domain unless the description specifically says so. You have to ask the individual artist of each image for permission to use each image.

thank you caedes! I have had several people PM me telling me that they have used my work on their websites...didn't ask...just used it. to be honest...that bothers me. I work hard to not be given credit for something.

Yes, this has always been a problem with images that are on the net. People with little experience or knowledge about copyright law just make up their own rules to justify using images without permission. Not that the above poster is going to do that. The rule to go by is that if the image doesn't specifically say you can use it for x (except for fair use) then you can't use it for x.

Is it possible to make it more clear to all that itīs just free for desktop use only? becaus i also put in a great deal of time and effort into my work.....to much time to give it away to commercial sites and businesses...I think more of you agree on that?!?!

I used to have a link on each image info page that explained the copyright loaw reguarding the image. I'll consider putting that back on.

...But I can download them as desktop backgrounds without infringing on copyright laws, or personally 'ripping off' an artist, can't I?

Personal use for desktop wallpaper is always fine.
