It's really too bad that every night from midnight to two am(Pacific time) there has to be 'housekeeping' time for caedes. Some of us can't
get on here to post anything until that time, when families are
asleep and we get a bit of peace and quiet. ....It fets a bit frustrating just
sitting here so long waiting for the upload to go thru. I have also had to try to post this comment three times, and it's now taken about 15 minutes. So I'm basically giving up the upload til tomorrow. I used to think it was my computer, but it's not, it's the time that takes longer during the "cleanup" in caedes itself. I am not usually able to do postings during the daytime . Are there any other suggestions or ideas on when the cleaning could be done? Thanx..Verena

Verena, no matter what time is selected, it will always be inconvenient for someone. If he moved it forward two hours, that would make it 5-7 am for users on the East Coast, which would prevent people from being able to upload in the morning at the start of their day while the rest of the house is still asleep.

I think the current time is the best balance that can be asked for something that will always be inconvenient to someone somewhere as midnight on the West Coast is after the bedtimes of a lot of people.

you should try uploading from downunder.. it's either everyone is asleep or everyone is uploading at the same time..

What cleanup ? And can they come to my house ?

I'm pretty sure it has nothing with caedes. Because I've never had to wait longer than maybe a minute to do anything. Definitely sounds like your computer. Bet if you took it in to get it looked at, then brought it home, and tried, it would be faster :)

Darn, people showed up before I was able to get back to this - I did mean to point out the challenges our international members can face since that that 12am-2am PST occurs during their daytime!

I guess I can see the point of the time. I know there are many things involved in that. Sorry to bother you guys about it, it just gets a bit frustrating. I guess I gotta find a way to post my photos at some other time of day I agree with Lauren, that might be a great time to come
clean at my house too, then I'll have more time for the computer too............ Thanx for your help. V
