Must Haves...

I have a Cannon Rebel... I got it in December of this year.
It came with two lenses, I suppose one is standard and one is zoom (I am new to all of this so bare with me).

What are some accessories I might need to get myself started better?

Links to those accessories would be appreciated, thanks!

I don't have any links for you, I'm sure others might have some specific links they could share, but I would say that a tripod is a must and some basic filters will add so much to your photography.

A sturdy tripod will allow you to get the sharpest detail possible out of your new toy...I am into water photography, so I use very long exposures, which would be impossible without a tripod. But it would also help with any landscape shot in many other ways..whether it be allowing you to play around with aperture/shutter speed settings or even just framing the shot.

I would suggest picking up a circular polarizer, which helps darken blue skies mainly, but also with overall saturation and reflection control. It also acts as a protection for your lens from scratches, dust, etc. There's tons of other filters that do great things, I use neutral density filters all the time, but a circular polarizer adds a lot.

Hope that helps!

Here is a link to the kind of info you seem to be looking for, Read through the article (the first half deals with choosing a camera, the second half picks up where you are now.) After reading it you will know much more about what you need and want.

How you use your new camera is more important than what to buy to go with it. This site has a list a basic articles to help with the artistic aspects..
